On page 275 of EntreLeadership by Dave Ramsey he writes about using the DISC during hiring,
"If you value your team, they will know it in a lot of ways, and one of the ways is that they'll be paid and paid well. Paying them well dow not mean overpaying based on contribution. Your team can tell what the money looks like and how it is flowing around them; they are not fooled. ..I have had plenty of team members over the years who thought they were more deserving than they were - that is a matter for the hiring and firing chapter - but the great ones should be rewarded with money."
